John R. Osmanski, age 76 passed away Friday, August 31, 2018 quietly at Glenvue Health and Rehabilitation, under the care of Community Hospice. He was born on October 5, 1941 to Joseph and Jennie Narkunas Osmanski.  He served in the US Army for 22 years, retiring as a Sergeant First Class. He then worked an additional 20 years as a contractor for the DISCOM Learning Center teaching computer classes. He had lived in Liberty County for the past 40 years. He had a passion for collecting coins and foreign money.  John was an avid sports fan especially he enjoyed watching the Atlanta Falcons, Georgia Football, and the Atlanta Braves.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary Ann Bradley Osmanski and a brother, Joe Osmanski.

He is survived by his children, Cheri (James) Osmanski Goss of Plainfield, IA, John (Raelynn) Osmanski, Jr. of Denison, IA;  Scarlett (Sam) Edwards Taylor of Odum, Eddie (Mark) Edwards Portz of Snowy Hill, NC, Charles (Marlo) Edwards of Lawton OK, and Shawn (Amy) Smith of Ludowici; brother, Ronnie (Sue) Osmanski of Wilkes Barre, PA; sisters-in-law, Shirley (Pete) Bradley Gilmore of Marianna, FL, Marjorie (Ronnie) Bradley DeLoach of Glennville, Faye Bradley of Cartersville and Dorothy Bradley of Hinesville; brothers-in-law, Alvin Bradley of Phoenix City, AL, Gene (Jo) Bradley of Townsend, John Lloyd (Debbie) Bradley of Hinesville and Dale Bradley of Ludowici; also survived by 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted 1:00pm Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery with military honors rendered by the US Army.
