Malcolm Reid Williams departed this life on Sunday, July 14, 2019, at his residence at the age of 43.  He was born to the parentage of Willie A. Lawson and Betty Williams Miller on April 6, 1976, in Metter, GA.

Malcolm, also know as Mike Lawson, Mike and Mongolian, was raised in Reidsville, GA, attending Reidsville Elementary, Reidsville Middle School and Reidsville High School during his academic years.  Malcolm acquired his General Education Diploma and was actively involved in the Construction trade at the time of his death.

Malcolm is survived by: one son, Adrian Prince Porter of Atlanta, GA, two daughters, Tyshea Renee Williams of Statesboro, GA, and Ma’Riaya D. Rucker of Reidsville, GA; loving and devoted mother, Betty W. Miller (Joe) of Reidsville, GA; father, Willie A. Lawson of Reidsville, GA; nine sisters, Delores W. Small (Frederick)  of Reidsville, GA,  Mary J. McKinney(Truman) of Lyons, GA, Seimon Lawson of Lyons, GA, Latoya Strowbridge of Reidsville, GA,  Mary Ann Brown, Trenda Clay, Elizabeth Tillman, Angela Lawson, and Meesha Cravers all of Reidsville, GA ; ten brothers, Robert Lawson of Valdosta, GA , Frederick Lawson of South Carolina, Joseph Lawson of Savannah, GA, Johnny L. Williams of Reidsville, GA, Jerry L. Williams of Reidsville, GA, Gary Williams (Shaletha) of Collins, GA, Willie A. Williams of Lyons, GA, Kai Kitchens (Ashley) of Colorado Springs, CO, Willis Carswell and Quan Richardson of Reidsville, GA;  loving grandmother, Annie Mae Phillips Sharpe of Reidsville, GA; eight aunts, eight uncles, host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Malcolm was preceded in death by four sisters: Melissa Williams, Jewel Lawson Eason, Ann Lawson and Vickie Lee Lawson; two brothers Antoine Young and Carl Lawson.

Malcolm loved people and life. He was a giver and protector. Malcolm was loyal, forever smiling and never allowing life adversities to keep him down. He will be truly missed by his expansive family and friends.

Visitation is scheduled for Friday, July 19, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the chapel of Low Country Cremation & Burial. Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, July 20, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Springfield Missionary Baptist Church in Reidsville with Dr. Will White officiating. Interment will follow at Sandhill Cemetery.

Low Country Cremation & Burial is serving the Williams family during this time of bereavement.
