Adrian Levi Fleming
Adrian Levi Fleming (SHARPSHOOTER) transitioned this life unexpectedly on August 14, 2023 at the age of 58. Adrian was born May 25th, 1965 to Kaiser and Bernice Fleming in Reidsville, Georgia where he grew up and graduated from Reidsville High School in 1983. After graduation, he joined the United States Army. His devotion to the military was unwavering, and he served with distinction for an impressive 20 years. Rising from the rank of private, he earned the esteemed position of Sergeant First Class. His dedication took him to various corners of the world, and he proudly bore the responsibilities of his roles. One of his notable duty stations was Fort Benning, Georgia, during which, he displayed exceptional leadership as an Army Ranger and Drill Sergeant. Throughout his military career, he earned a multitude of awards and decorations, including the National Defense Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Overseas Service Bars, Overseas Service Ribbon, Army Good Conduct Medal and the Army Achievement Medal. He retired to our beloved Country, and later continued his service overseas as a civilian security contractor for another 10 years. Adrian returned to Reidsville, Georgia where he served his community with numerous business adventures and was most known for his “Drip” Ice Cream Truck, traveling around the surrounding communities putting smiles on all the children’s (and adults) faces. Adrian loved helping family and friends and volunteering his services around the community.
Beyond his military achievements, Adrian was a dedicated Mason Brother of the St. Matthews Lodge 585. He was a captivating presence. He exuded a zest of life that was contagious and loved playing cards.
Adrian was preceded in death by his father Kaiser Fleming Sr. and mother Bernice Fleming; two brothers: Charles and Kaiser Fleming Jr., one sister: Yvonne Venable
Left to cherish a lifetime of memories made are: his wife of 38 years, Joyce Fleming of Locust Grove, Georgia; Twin sons: Dorielle (Whitney) Fleming , and Dorion (Ashley)Fleming of Kentucky; Five brothers: Tyrone Hobbs of Washington, DC, Obie Hobbs of Richmond, Virginia; Robert (Kadada) Fleming of Collins, Georgia; George (Brenda) Fleming of Reidsville, Georgia; Blake (Mary) Fleming of Savannah, Georgia; Two sisters: Dorothy Wright of Upper Marlboro, Maryland; and Minerva (Sam) King of Reidsville, Georgia; sister-in-law, Vicki Fleming of McDonough, Georgia; He also leaves behind several grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other family members.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, August 20, 2023 from the hours of 1:00pm to 8:00pm at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00am on Monday August 21, 2023 from the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial with the interment to follow in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville with military honors rendered by the US Army.
