Albert "Papa Al" Morrill Sr., 76 of Valdosta, Ga. passed away May 5, 2016 unexpectedly at his home. He was born in Nashua, N.H. on Sept. 25, 1939 where he attended school and entered the US Marine Corps where he served for 4 years during the Vietnam War and was stationed overseas. He retired after 20 years working for the New Hampshire highway department as a heavy equipment operator before moving to Georgia, where he spent the past 20 years filling his days with fishing, working on his garden and yard, attending country music dancing, and a regular at the Bargainville Flea Market in Lake Park and helping all he met with his infectious smile.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Morrill of Valdosta; son Albert Jr. of Manchester, N.H.; son Steve Mason of Valdosta; daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Fox Williamson of Ontario, Canada: seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial is planned at his beloved home with full military honors, in which his ashes will be interned in a bio urn so that his can still be a part of his beloved yard and give shade and comfort to loved ones. For the date and time of the service please contact the family.
