Obituary,
Albert Morris Walker, Jr.
age 77, passed away
on Friday, April 1, 2011 at his residence after a
long illness. Mr. Walker was a native of Wheeler
County and lived most of his life in Richmond Hill,
before moving to Midway fifteen years ago. He
served in the United States Army during the Korean
War, worked at Union Camp for 28 years, served as
an inspector for the city of Richmond Hill in the 1970’s
and was owner/operator of Walker Trucking for many
years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert
Morris and Doshia Walker. Brother, Charlie Walker.
Sister, Virginia Walker.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Walker of Midway.
Four daughters and sons-in-law, Bettie (Don) Folds
of Orlando, Florida, Jean (David) Fisher of Richmond
Hill, Jan (Mitch) Lee of Watkinsville, Velinda (Dennis)
Burnsed of Pooler. Two sons and daughters-in-law,
Ricky (Staci) Walker and Rodger (Pam) Walker both of
Richmond Hill
. Three brothers, Bennitt Walker of Claxton,
Elmer Walker of Richmond Hill and Bobby Walker of Midway.
Fourteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation and Funeral Services
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 3, 2011 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Carter
Funeral Home in Richmond Hill, GA.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, April 4, 2011 at Bethel Baptist
Church in Richmond Hill, GA. with the Reverend Carlton Cooper officiating.
Interment
will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Lamb, Ron
Wolbert, Billy Smith, Gil Dominey, Charles Shedd, Joe Griffin.
