Allan Douglas Hamilton

Allan D. Hamilton, age 69, passed away Friday, January 11, 2019 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro with his wife by his side.  He was born December 30, 1949 in East Chicago, Indiana to Norman and Blanche Hamilton.  He lived most of his life in Indiana moving to Reidsville in 2003.  He retired as an auditor with the Internal Revenue Service.  Allan loved watching the Chicago Bears, Chicago Hawks, and westerns.  He is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Dennis Hamilton.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Judy Hamilton of Reidsville; daughters, Leslie Abel of Indiana, Shannon Hamilton of Indiana,  and Chelsea Patrick of Reidsville; siblings, Linda Hamilton of Indiana and Larry Hamilton of New Mexico; grandchildren, Elizabeth Abel and Zachary Patrick; great grandson, Jasper Reid Gurien, several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00pm on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at the funeral home.  Funeral services will follow at 3:00pm at the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial with Brother Wayne Kirkley and Rev. David Moxley.  Interment will follow in the Reidsville City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Kirkley, Scott Gurien, Carl Burkhalter, Ronnie Wilson, Walt Rogers, and Jay Page.
