Allen Denmark

September 11, 1974 — March 27, 2024

Vidalia

Erastus “Allen” Denmark III, age 49, of Vidalia passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Memorial Health in Savannah.  Allen was born in Statesboro on September 11, 1974 to Erastus Allen and Toshiko Onda Denmark, Jr. and was reared in Reidsville.  He was a 1992 graduate of Pinewood Christian Academy in Bellville and while at Pinewood he enjoyed playing tennis.   Allen was a paramedic for 30 years working with Tattnall EMS, Toombs Montgomery EMS, Heartland EMS, Wheeler EMS, Medixx, Excelsior Ambulance Service, and Optim Emergency Room.  His favorite job was working with Life Star as a flight medic.  He met a lot of medics who all became friends.  Allen will always be remembered for his sarcastic, smart mouth, sense of humor, and the way he always had an opinion or advice.   We all know things he said on a daily basis, that we all wish we could hear him say one more time.

Allen met the love of his life, Charlene in 2005 in Wheeler County and they got married on February 16, 2011 in Helen, GA.  Allen didn’t have kids of his own, but he loved and help raise the kids from both marriages.  His first wife, Dessie Creamer had 3 children, Heather, Candace and Hunter.   His second and current wife, Charlene had 2 children, Amber and Christina.  We couldn’t have asked for a better husband, dad, papa, friend or coworker.   His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him.

Allen is preceded in death by his parents and his granddaughter, Desalynn Myers.

He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Charlene Denmark; his kids, Amber (Justin) Stanfield, Heather (Wes) Myers, Candace Maddox, Christina Floyd, and Hunter Youmans.  Even though Allen loved his job, wife and kids, his favorite was being a grandparent.  He loved being called Papa.  He was papa to Hunter, Aja, LJ, Zayne, Rayna, William, and Kadyn

The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00pm on Friday, March 29, 2024 at the funeral home in Reidsville.  Funeral services will be conducted 4:00pm on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at the Reidsville Church of God with Mr. Russ Mullins officiating.  Interment will follow in the Red Hill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Bulloch County with honors rendered by the EMS Honor Guard.

Pallbearers will be Jordan Rushing, Ron Mock, Kerry Futch, Daniel Worth, Wes Myers, and Hunter Youmans.

Due to Allen’s illness with diabetes he had to leave EMS and just started working for Dr. Ferrari.  Due to just starting a new job, he had no life insurance.  The family has asked that instead of flowers, memorials be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.

Low Country Cremation and Burial has the honor to serve the Denmark family.
