Alma Jackie (Herrington) Jones

Alma Herrington Jones, age 69, passed away Friday, December 30, 2016 at the Optim Medical Center in Reidsville.  The Treutlen County native had lived in Soperton many years before moving to Reidsville in 1981.  She was a homemaker and a member of Twin Oaks Baptist Church.  She loved to watch TV and was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Herrington and a sister, Marilyn Williams; two nieces and a nephew that lives in Florida also survive.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Billy Jones of Reidsville; son, Jason Jones of Reidsville; her-in-laws, Melvin (Louise) Jones of Quincy, FL, Joan Wellman of Reidsville, Janice (Steve) Cains of Augusta, and Willie Joe Jones of High Falls, GA.

The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00pm on Tuesday from the funeral home.  Graveside funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm Wednesday, January 4, 2017 from the Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Jessie Browning officiating.
