Mrs. Alma Westberry Walker, age 85, passed away Friday, August 27, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Reidsville on June 03, 1936, to Leon and Effie Davis Westberry, Sr. and had lived in Tattnall County all of her life. Mrs. Alma retired after 30 years of service from Tattnall Healthcare in Reidsville. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her family and especially playing with her great grandchildren. She was a faithful and dedicated member of the Reidsville Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe Walker; son, Jackie Futch; siblings, Thelma Mattox, Paul Westberry and Leon Westbery, Jr.; sons in-law, James Scott and Tony Berry.
She is survived by her children Delores Scott of Reidsville; Dale Futch of Reidsville; Patricia Berry of Sylvania and Terry Futch of Reidsville; siblings, Kirby (Jeanette) Westberry of Snellville, Melba (Frank) Peal of Forest Park, Shirley (Phil) Rowan of Barnesville and Libby (Edward) Waters of Savannah; grandchildren, Lori (Donald) Richard, Laura (Gary) Walls, Josh (Brandy) Scott and Nathan Berry; great grandchildren, Lauren Walls, Noel Scott, Alexis Bragg, Seth Scott, Hunter Logan Walls, Bradley Walls, Mason Scott, Brandon Richard, Malichi Scott, Elijah Scott, Brantley Berry, Andrew Walls and Emmalyn Scott.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, beginning at 6:00pm from the chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at the Reidsville Baptist Church with the Dr. Charles Jonas officiating. Interment will follow in the Reidsville City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Nathan Berry, Gary Walls, Josh Scott, Hunter Logan Walls, Seth Scott and Bradley Walls.
Low Country Cremation and Burial is serving the Walker family.
