Andrew Boback, age 45, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Evans Memorial Hospital. He was born on February 27, 1979 in Washington, PA to Bruce and Deborah Toth Boback and In 2011 he made his home in Glennville. He was a 1997 graduate of Jefferson Morgan Highschool in Jefferson, PA.
A proud veteran, Andrew dedicated his life to serving his country and retired from the United States Army in 2014 after a distinguished career that spanned multiple installations, including Ft. Benning, Ft. Stewart, Ft. Campbell, and Ft. Jackson. His time stationed in Germany remained his favorite, bringing him cherished memories and lifelong friendships. He served honorably during Operation Iraqi Freedom, embodying the courage and commitment of a true soldier.
Outside of his military service, Andrew was known for his vibrant personality and diverse interests. He was passionate about fishing, where he found peace and joy on the water, and enjoyed the camaraderie of shooting pool. Andrew loved to cook, often sharing delicious meals with family and friends, and he had a particular fondness for shooting guns, celebrating the thrill of the sport in safe and enjoyable environments. Above all, Andrew treasured time spent with his children, creating lasting memories filled with love and laughter. Andrew is preceded in death by his mother; his wife, Shari Boback and his daughter, Cora Boback.
He is survived by his fiance, Heather Lee of Glennville; his children, Caoimhe and Ciarán Boback both of Glennville; his father, Bruce Boback of Ladson, SC; his brother, Brian (Alicia) Boback of Glennville; nephew, Hunter Boback of Glennville; best friends, Logan Cunningham of OK and Devin Tupper of VA
Family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:45pm on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at the funeral home. Graveside services will follow at 3:00pm at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
