Angela Castillo Palomo, cariñosamente conocida como "Mamalita" por todos los que la amaban, falleció pacíficamente en su residencia el 15 de enero de 2025, rodeada de su devota familia y bajo el cuidado compasivo de Ogeechee Area Hospice.
Angela fue una mujer de fe inquebrantable y un corazón tan cálido como su cocina. Conocida por su extraordinaria habilidad culinaria, su hogar era un santuario de bienvenida y bondad donde todos se sentían como en familia. Su espíritu generoso y alma genuina dejaron una impresión duradera en todos los que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerla. Conocerla era amarla. También deja 30 nietos: Jonathan (Melva), Zaira (Eliseo), Christhian (Becca), Tanikka, Danyelle (Darius), Adriana, Lillyana, Avarie, Dulce, Moises Jr., Viridiana (Andres), Mike (Mariana), Yareli (Van), Jenny, Gisell (Carlos), Denaly, Oscar Jr., Millie, Dany, Steven, Yessica, Lucero (Jesus), Hugo (Brittany), Mario Jr. (Sheyla), Justeen, Jesus, Brandon, Alondra, Shelby y Chad; 37 bisnietos; y tres tataranietos. También le sobreviven dos hermanos, Andrés Castillo y Adela Castillo; un sobrino especial y su familia, Alfredo (Vilda) Lugo y sus hijos Lizbeth, Ruby y Nathalie; un querido amigo de la familia, Adán Cadena; además de numerosos otros familiares y amigos que llevarán su legado en sus corazones.

Angela Castillo Palomo, affectionately known as "Mamalita" to all who loved her, passed away peacefully at her residence on January 15, 2025, surrounded by her devoted family and under the compassionate care of Ogeechee Area Hospice.
Angela was a woman of unwavering faith and a heart as warm as her kitchen. Known for her extraordinary cooking, her home was a sanctuary of welcome and kindness where everyone felt like family. Her giving spirit and genuine soul left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege to know her. To know her was to love her. She lived a remarkable life of love, faith, and generosity; she will forever be remembered and cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Angela is preceded in death by her parents, Manuel Castillo and Asuncion Palomo; her beloved children, Melchor Castillo and Patricia Castillo; and nine siblings: Francisco, Santos, Felipe, Pedro, Epigmenio, Manuel, Eugenio, Miguel, and Juana Castillo.
Left to honor her memory are her children, Mario (Norma) Vazquez of Crete, Nebraska, Juan (Tifani) Vazquez of Reidsville, Marypao (Moises) Vazquez of DF, Mexico City, Guadalupe Vazquez, Oscar (Sandra) Vazquez, Polo (Rosaura) Vazquez, Mario (Leticia) Vazquez, Fernando (Tina) Vazquez, and Linda Vazquez, all of Reidsville; 30 grandchildren: Jonathan (Melva), Zaira (Eliseo), Christhian (Becca), Tanikka, Danyelle (Darius), Adriana, Lillyana, Avarie, Dulce, Moises Jr., Viridiana (Andres), Mike (Mariana), Yareli (Van), Jenny, Gisell (Carlos), Denaly, Oscar Jr., Millie, Dany, Steven, Yessica, Lucero (Jesus), Hugo (Brittany), Mario Jr. (Sheyla), Justeen, Jesus, Brandon, Alondra, Shelby, and Chad; 37 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two siblings, Andres Castillo and Adela Castillo; a special nephew and his family, Alfredo (Vilda) Lugo and children Lizbeth, Ruby, Nathalie; a cherished family friend, Adan Cadena; as well as numerous other relatives and friends who will carry her legacy in their hearts.
Visitation for Angela will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of Low Country Cremation & Burial.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Low Country Cremation & Burial, Pastor Jesus Angel, Jr. officiating.
