Angela Lynn Alexander, 68, of Collins Georgia passed away February 21, 2021 at her home. Mrs. Alexander was born November 22, 1952 in Claxton, Georgia to Earl and Lois Lynn (Findley) of Collins, Georgia. She was the oldest of five children. Mrs. Alexander attended Reidsville High School and graduated in 1970. She continued her education at Georgia Southern University with Bachelor’s Degrees in both French and Education. She later returned to Georgia Southern University and earned a Master’s Degree in Education with a distinction in Special Education focusing on Learning Disabilities and Behavior Disorders. Mrs. Alexander served in education for over thirty-two years including postings in Savannah Georgia where she taught French for one year and Claxton Georgia where she taught students with learning disabilities and behavior disorders for over thirty years. There are countless numbers of students whose lives Mrs. Alexander was blessed to impact throughout her time as a teacher. It is difficult to find someone in the surrounding counties who, in some way, didn’t know Mrs. Alexander (Dasher). Mrs. Alexander loved The Lord, her family, and her friends. She was a devoted mother of three daughters; Anne, Lisa, and Sarah and the loving grandmother of three grandchildren; Zakkary, Rylan, and Lainey. Mrs. Alexander was also a loving friend to many who put her love of God first. She was a lifelong member of Cedar Creek Primitive Baptist Church in Collins Georgia. Mrs. Alexander is preceded in death by her father and mother Earl and Lois Lynn (Findley), her daughter Sarah Dasher, and her husband Jerry Alexander.
She is survived by her daughters, Anne Hester (Will Hester) and Lisa Dasher Anderson (Joey Anderson) and three grandchildren Zakkary Gailey, Rylan Dasher, and Lainey Anderson
The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00am on Friday, February 26, 2021 at the Glennville Funeral Home with the funeral services to follow at 11:00am with Elder Steve Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the Cedar Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Craig Fortner, Zakkary Gailey, Chris Anderson, William Hester, Kenneth Jarrell, and Renard Davis.
Memorials may be given to a trust fund for Rylan Dasher c/o Lisa Dasher Anderson 292 Howard Rd NE Ludowici, GA 31316.
