Ann McMillon

Ann Corean Bowen McMillon, 92, of Elgin, passed away, Monday, August 5, 2013. Born November 7, 1920, in Baxley, GA, she was a daughter of the late James Simon Bowen and Lady Jane Wilhite Bowen. A longtime member of Pontiac First Baptist Church, Ann had a great love for serving others, and she remained active for many years giving her time and service to others.

Survivors include her son, Charles McMillon of Collins, GA; 15 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 28 great-great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John O. McMillon; son, John William McMillon; and daughter, Mary Elizabeth Warren.

A graveside service will be held at 12 o’clock, Friday, August 9, 2013 at Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens, 2603 Two Notch Road, Columbia, with the Rev. Dr. Mark Bredholt officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o’clock, Thursday evening at Shives Funeral Home, 5202 Colonial Drive, Columbia.
