Ann (Durrence) Ryals

Ann Durrence Ryals, age 56, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her family and under the care of Community Hospice.  The native Floridian made her home in Georgia.   Ann could often be found out doors.  One of her favorite pastime activities was fishing.  She could often be found near a stream, river, or pond on a given day.  Perhaps the only activity she liked better than fishing was searching for treasure with her metal detector.  Ann always had a way of convincing her family to come along with her; even convincing them to do the digging!  She always dreamed she would make a rare find and be able to take it to the Antique Roadshow.   A wonderful mother, grandmother, wife, and friend; she will be missed by all.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Eleanor Wilds Durrence; son, Mark Taylor; and a sister, Levona Phillips.

She is survived by her husband, Darnell Ryals of Reidsville; daughters, Melissa (Robert Canlas) Taylor of Reidsville and Melanie Taylor of Claxton; son, Jason (Ardessa) Taylor of Vidalia; brothers, Joseph Durrence of Reidsville, Billy Durrence and Bud Durrence both of Collins; sisters, Donnie Jean Hendrik of Sherman, TX and Shirley (James) Rucker of Reidsville; seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00pm on Thursday from the funeral home.  Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Friday, March 11, 2016 from the Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home & Crematory with the Chaplain Bill Vansant officiating.  Interment will follow in the Stoney Hill Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Austin Taylor, RJ Arnold, Robert Canlas, Henry Clark, Cody Denmark, and Gabe Roberts.
