Anne Cabbage

September 24, 1917 — November 22, 2015

Glennville,
Mrs. Anne Cabbage, age 98, passed away on November 22, 2015 at her son’s residence in Glennville, GA under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. The Clairbourne County, TN native had lived  in the Lone Mountain Community for most of her life before moving to Glennville., GA two years ago.  She was a retired educator who served forty-five years as a teacher in Clairbourne County Schools.  Mrs. Anne was a member of the Retired Teacher’s  Association  and a life long member of the Lone Mountain United Methodist Church.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Lee Cabbage.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Richard and Judy Cabbage, and her grand-daughter, Mary Anne Cabbage of Glennville, GA; sister and brothers; Nancy Jennings of Pittsburgh, PA, Dr. Jeff Jennings and Harold Ray Jennings both of Knoxville, TN; special nieces and nephews; Glenna Herron of Kingsport, TN, Dr. Alan Rice of Knoxville, TN, Lisa Rice of Dandridge, TN, Betty Williams of Johnson City, TN and Eddie Williams of Kirkwood, MO.
She is loved and will be fondly remembered by other family members, many friends, a number of colleagues, and a host of former students.

The family will recieve friends from 11:00am to 12:00pm on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Low Country Cremation Services and Burial in Glennville.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Lone Mountain United Methodist Church.  Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in New Tazewell, TN.
