Mr. Artis Mincey was born on January 23, 1928 in Manassas, Georgia to the late Mr. Ollie and Bessie James Mincey and passed away Sunday August 30, 2020 at Candler County Hospital in Metter. At an early age, he joined the Oak Grove Methodist Church of Manassas, Georgia as chairman of the steward board for seventy years where he served faithfully until his health began to decline. He attended Manassas Colored School in Manassas, Georgia. He leaves to cherish his devoted wife, Mrs. Bobbie Simpson-Mincey of Collins, Ga. His five children; Barbara Jean Mincey of Savannah, Georgia, Ronald (Erin) Mincey of Boston, Massachusetts, Debbie (Vance) Collins of Lexington, South Carolina, Reba Mincey of Reidsville, Georgia, and Mark Mincey of Boston, Massachusetts. Three stepchildren; Patricia (Jimmy) Mitchell of Lyons, Georgia, Rickey (Gloria) Simpson of Athens, Georgia, Lawanda (Brian) Sanders of Collins, Georgia. Two brothers in law; Junior Smith and Devon Beal. Two sisters in law; Eva Mincey and Lavern Johnson. A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends who will always love him deeply.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from the hours of 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the funeral home.  Funeral services will be conducted 11:00am Thursday from the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial with interment to follow in the Mincey Cemetery in Manassas
