Audrey Kersey Burton , age 63, passed away Friday, December 9, 2016 at the Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia surrounded by her family.  The Toombs County native had lived in Lyons all of her life.  She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her companion, Junior Miller of Cedar Crossing; sons, Sylvester (Julia Lynch) Kersey of Lyons and Thomas Burton of Virginia; adopted daughter, Josephine Dixon of Reidsville;  siblings, Mary Groover of Reidsville, Lula Scarbough of Kite, Tennson Kersey of Lyons, and Elton Kersey of Vidalia; several grandchildren; one great grandson; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Memorial services will be conducted 2:00pm Wednesday December 14, 2016 at Marietta Free Will Baptist Church on Highway 86 in Lyons with the Reverend Charles Murphy officiating.

Low Country Cremation and Burial is serving the Kersey Burton family.
