Benjamin Cyril “Ben” Burkhalter, age 20 passed away Thursday, September 8, 2016. He was a lifelong resident of Glennville and was a member of Cornerstone Bible Church. Ben was a sophomore at Georgia Southern University.  He enjoyed playing the guitar, fishing and in his high school years he was a member of the cross country team.  He was preceded in death by his father, Patrick Burkhalter, Sr; paternal grandparents, Cyril and Etwinda Burkhalter.

He is survived by his mother, Cathy Burkhalter of Glennville; siblings, Melissa Lanier of Los Angeles, CA., Heather Burkhalter of St. Simons Island, Brad Burkhalter of Glennville, a very special brother, Brett Burkhalter, Christy Hertz of Cumming, GA., Heidi Deal of Glennville and  Patrick Burkhalter, Jr. of Reidsville; maternal grandparents, James Cowart and Sandra Cowart both of Pembroke; 1  niece and 3 nephews.

Visitation will begin at 2:00pm Sunday, September 11, 2016 with funeral services to follow at 3:00pm from the Chapel of Low Country Cremation Services and Burial. Interment will follow in the Glennville City Cemetery.

Low Country Cremation Services and Burial is serving the Burkhalter family.
