Reidsville
Betty Jean Jackson was born in Reidsville to the late William and Hazel Jackson on December 26, 1947. God gently closed her eyes on Sunday March 10, 2019. Preceding her in death were brothers J.C. and Daniel Jackson and sister Gloria Jackson. She accepted Christ at an early age and it was evident in her life. She was so giving and would do anything for anybody. Betty Jean was a member of Tattnall Industrial High School class of 67’. She was a housekeeper for many years for several families around the Reidsville area. She loved her lotto tickets, fishing, and was a great cook. She took pride in sharing with family her cakes, pies, and “best ever” banana pudding. She had a memory like an elephant. Able to recall people, dates, and phone numbers without hesitation.
She loved her family and leaves an unforgettable giggle and wonderful memories with her two sisters, Agnes and Ellene Jackson. No biological children but the proud aunt of 9 nieces/nephews, 8 great nieces/nephews, and 5 great great nieces/nephews. Her fishing partner, Mrs Ina Mae Harris. A lifelong friend, Mrs Geradine “Nan” Shepard. Two special cousins, Gwen Holmes and Eva Mosley, many loving cousins and friends.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, March 16, 2019 beginning at 9:00am with funeral services to follow at 11:00am from the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial. Interment will follow at Jackson Cemetery.
