Mrs. Betty J. Kennedy, age 59, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her family and under the care of Gentiva Hospice after an extended illness. Betty was a native of Columbus, and had lived in Evans County for the past 29 years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed cooking for her family and friends.
Mrs. Kennedy is survived by her husband, John Kennedy of Claxton; son Michael-Paul Kennedy of Alabama; daughter, April Michelle Kennedy of Glennville; four grandchildren, Jonathan Skylar Kennedy, ChristaLynn Starr Jean Kennedy, Kolby Michael Kennedy, and Garrett Walter Kennedy; five sisters and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be private at a later date. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Gentiva Hospice 5105 Paulsen Street Suite 225D Savannah, Ga. 31406
