A Tattnall County native, Ms. Van Horn lived in Savannah, Georgia and Tampa, Florida for many years. She attended the Reidsville schools and University of Georgia, followed by a 31-year career at the Internal Revenue Service and many years as an enrolled agent at the accounting firm of her friend, Julian Herring, in Tampa. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joshua and Lucille Beasley, brothers George Mason Beasley and Robert Nathaniel Beasley, her sister Rosalyn Beasley, husband Eldon P.
