Betty (Earl) (Sikes) Kennedy

REIDSVILLE
Mrs. Betty (Earl). Kennedy, age 86, passed away Friday, May 4, 2012 at Community Hospice House in Vidalia. The Collins native had lived in the Reidsville most of her life. She was a nurse at Jelks Hospital and was a Secretary at the Tattnall County Extension Agency serving for twenty two years. She was a very active member of the Reidsville Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher and sang in the choir. Mrs. Kennedy is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Earl Kennedy.
She is survived by:
Daughters and sons-in-laws, Barbara and Chunk Reid of Vidalia
India and Thomas Sandford of Reidsville
Four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews also survive
Visitation will begin at 6:00pm Saturday May 5, 2012 from the Reidsville Chapel.
Funeral services will be conducted 4:30pm Sunday May 6, 2012 from the Reidsville Baptist Church with the Reverends Steve Miller and Marc Foster officiating. Interment will follow in the Reidsville City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ivy Reid, Brandon Oliver, Tom Sandford, Barney Oliver, Leland McCall and Sam Kennedy
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Community Hospice Foundation, Brewton Parker College, Reidsville Baptist Church or the Reidsville United Methodist Church Building Fund.
