Billy Joe Gay

Mr. Billy Joe Gay , age 72, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at the Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Center in Statesboro.  The Tattnall County native had lived in Reidsville most of his life.  He worked in the construction field for many years.  He loved to fish and watch Westerns.  Billy Joe was of the Baptist faith and is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Glenes Crews Gay; siblings, Bennie Ann Harrelson, Bobby Gay and Jackie Gay.

He is survived by a special nephew, Andy (Annette) Gay of Reidsville; four other nephews; two nieces; several great nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00pm on Thursday from the funeral home.  Funeral services will be conducted 11:00am Friday, December 16, 2016 from the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial with the Reverend Russell Rogers officiating.  Interment will follow in the Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Reidsville.

Pallbearers will be Randall Murray, Kerry Murray, Rob Hutcheson, Allen Harrelson, Larry Martin, and Lee Willis.
