Billy Eugene Mincey, Sr.

Billy Eugene Mincey Sr, age 56, of Vidalia departed this life on August 26, 2021, at Pleasantview Nursing Home in Metter GA.

Billy was born in Augusta, GA., on January 11, 1965, to the parentage of the late Tommy Lee Mincey Sr., and late Martha Miller Foreman.  His siblings who preceded him in death are Tommy Lee Mincey, Jr., and Stephanie Foreman Washington, and a nephew Ricky “Bean” Johnson.

Billy leaves to cherish his memories to his children; two daughters, Brittany Wooden and Jasmine Mincey; a daughter he contributed to and welcomed and loved as such, Tia Victoria; three sons, Billy Eugene Mincey, Jr., Darien Mincey, and Christopher Beasley; grandchildren, Chloe, Paris, Cameron, Bella, Sy’miere, Ky’Miriah, and Aumeriah; one nephew, Jaudon Foreman; a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Billy graduated from Vidalia High School Class of 1983; he went on to serve in the United States Army.  Billy was a dedicated employee for the companies he worked for to include the Georgia Department of Corrections, several manufacturing companies, and lastly employed for more than 10 years at Best Line Sash and Doors.

Billy was very instrumental in being an active reunion committee member for the 80’-85’ classes of Vidalia High School.  His dedication and creative ideas pushed the committee members to new heights.

Billy mentored several younger people in his neighborhood.  The youth looked up to him as a positive role model and presented the utmost respect for “Mr. Billy”.  He was not afraid to bring correction and redirection and encourage the youth to do better, the youth knew all correction was done in loved and respect for them.

Billy enjoyed all things sports and had a great love for music and baseball caps.  Most people will remember Billy for his caring, nurturing, humble spirit with a bright bright Kool-Aid smile.  Last but not least if you knew Billy you knew he had and undying love for all of his family members and friends.

Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, September 2, 2021, at the chapel of Low Country Cremation & Burial in Reidsville from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Graveside funeral services are scheduled on Friday, September 3, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Eternal Glory Gardens, 3426 GA HWY 297 Vidalia GA with Rev. Cason officiating.
