Mr. Billy Ray Pitt, age 85, passed away April 9, 2017 in Savannah after a long battle with cancer. The Kentucky native had lived in Savannah since 1961. He is preceded in death by his parents, Solon and Lottie Mae Pitt; wife, Angeline Pitt; and brothers, Bobby and Roger Pitt.

He is survived by his sons, Richard Pitt, Jeffrey (Kathy) Pitt, Paul (Claudia) Zarate; daughters, Alisa (Jim) Mock, Susan (Bill) Barrett, and Anita Mack; grandchildren, Chandra (Doug) Brown, Gabriel (Lori) Pitt, Nicholas (Amber) Pitt, Veronica (Greg) White, William (Hollie) Pitt, Michael Pitt, Kelly (Brian) Nassin, Nicole Barrett, Katherine (Brent) Harmeier, Steven (Nora) Barrett, Lauren (Michael) Schultz, Joshua Zarate, Jessica Zarate, Alison (Michael) Patti, Jennifer Mack, and Kirk Mack; great grandchildren, Marley & Virginia Brown, Anderson & Maryn Pitt, Solon & Kaya Pitt; Hudson, Harper, & Hadley Harmeier, John & Felicity (little Angie) Schultz, Blaire & Rachel Degenhardt

Graveside services will be conducted 1:00pm on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at the Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with the Reverend Derek McAleer officiating. The family will receive friends following the services at the home of Mr. Billy Pitt from 2:30pm to 4:30pm
