Blynn B. Smith

Blynn B. Smith , age 77, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2015 at his residence.  The California native had lived in Tattnall County most of his life.  He was a US Army Vietnam Veteran, former Tattnall County Deputy Sheriff and a Reidsville Police Chief.  He retired as a Sergeant from the Georgia Department of Corrections.  Blynn loved to ride motorcycles and fish.  He is preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Mincey Wilds.

He is survived by his children, Melanie (Robert) Darby of Decatur, Melisa (Terry) Arnold of Loganville, and Matthew Smith of Tolland, CT; grandchildren, Michael Blynn Arnold, Gwendolyn Darby, and Gideon Darby; nephews, Jay Mincey, and Hunter Mincey, niece, Carol Mincey; dear friends, Pete Brown and Dickie Grant.

In keeping with Blynn’s wishes there will be no public services.
