Bobby R. Ellis

Mr. Bobby Ray Ellis, age 84, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2018 at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro surrounded by his family.  He was born on April 6, 1934 in Fountain, NC to Thomas Preston and Mary Eastwood Ellis.  Mr. Bobby proudly served 4 years in the US Air Force and then went on to graduate from Barber School. After graduating from Barber School, he then spent 30 years in Silver Springs, Maryland barbering with his dear friends, Al Guadanoli and Angelo D'Amico. Relocating to Georgia, he owned and operated ABA Barber Shop in Brunswick for 2 years. He then moved to Glennville, where he has spent the last 20 years. In his spare time, he loved woodworking and working in his yard. He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Strickland Ellis of Glennville; two daughters, one step daughter, one step-son, four sisters, several grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.

In keeping with Mr. Bobby’s wishes, no services will be held.
