Bobby Rowland

Bobby Rowland, age 57, passed away, Saturday March 21, 2020 at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah.  He was born in Claxton on May 30, 1962 to Joe and Susie Wilkes Rowland and had lived in Tattnall County most of his life.  Bobby retired from the Georgia Department of Corrections after helping to protect the citizens of the State for many years.  In his free time, he loved slipping off to Hilton Head to spend time at the beach or grilling in the backyard.  Whenever fall came, you know he would be found cheering on his favorite team, the Georgia Bulldogs!  Bobby loved people and people loved him. Often referred to as “the life of the party” and “someone who joy followed”, he will be missed by all who knew him.  He is a member of the Reidsville Baptist Church and is preceded in death by his father, Joe Rowland.

He is survived by his children, Kristofer (Gregory) King of Woodstock, Kaydee (Parker) Lamb of Statesboro and Jakob Rowland of Reidsville; mother, Mrs Susie Rowland of Reidsville; sister, Donna Rowland of Pennsylvania and a nephew, Eric Gilder of Pennsylvania.

There will be an opportunity on Tuesday March 24, 2020  for friends to stop by the funeral home between the hours of 5:00pm to 8:00pm to pay your respects to Bobby.

The funeral services will be private.
