Bobby F. “Sam” May, Jr. passed away Monday, August 19, 2019 at his sister’s residence under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice.  He was born on January 27, 1965 in Tampa, FL to Bobby F. and Mary Cummings May and had lived between Zephyrhills, FL and Claxton most of his life.  Sambo was a roofer who loved fishing and enjoyed hunting some. He loved to gather with his family for cook outs and play cards. Sam attended Claxton Church of God and loved baking cakes and sharing them with us. He is preceded in death by his mother, grandparents, Roy and Ruby Cummings and Alexander and Annie May.

He is survived by his daughter, Kendra (Brandon) Crosby of Claxton; father, Bobby May of Daisy; devoted sister, Suzie (Jackie) DeLoach of Daisy; grandchildren, Skyler and Landon Crosby; nephews, Jeremy and Jacob DeLoach

The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00pm on Wednesday at the Glennville Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted 11:00am Thursday at the Claxton Church of God with the Reverend Nathan Pittman officiating.  Interment will follow in the Bull Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Danny Pittman, Jeremy DeLoach, Jacob DeLoach, Kevin DeLoach, Shelly Whitley, and Bobby DeLoach.

Honorary pallbearers will be John Boy Lovett and Austin DeLoach
