Cobbtown, GA.
Brandon Michael Guthrie, age 27, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2016 after an extended illness. The Toombs County native lived the last 10 years of his life in Tattnall County. Even though he battled illness for much of his life, he was never one to be held down by it; neither in spirit or actions. In his free time, his hobbies were working on his truck and tinkering with all manner of things; always with country music playing in the background. Additionally, he loved racing, both dirt track and Nascar. Those who knew him best were quick to tell you that he never met a stranger, and was the truest friend anyone could hope to have. If he counted you a friend; he would defend you to the end. A person that was always well informed and easy to talk to, Brandon is certain to be missed by all those whose lives he touched. Although his time here on Earth was short, his positive impact will be felt for generations to come. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Orie Jean and Dennis Guthrie and a great-grandmother Madeline Patrick.
Left to mourn his memory are his mother and chosen father, Tammy and Stacey Wilds of Glennville; three brothers, Blake (Brandi) Collins of Alma, Brock (Tricia Navarro) Guthrie of Metter, and Clint Wilds of Glennville; grandparents, Jim and Bonnie Price of Vidalia; nephew, Dylan Collins of Metter; three aunts, Tina (Ronny) Collins of Cobbtown, Alison (E.J.) Gilder of Alamo, Bonnie Jean Price of Vidalia; two uncles, Waylon Guthrie of Cobbtown, Calvin (Janet) Guthrie of Glennville; numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, and more friends than one could count also survive.
