Brenda Sikes, age 69 entered the gates of Heaven in the evening hours of February 2, 2016. She was surrounded by her daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter when she drifted away peacefully at Rockdale Medical Center in Conyers, GA. Mrs. Sikes was born Brenda Diane Otwell on January 19, 1947 to James Daniel Otwell and Jeanette Brooks Otwell. She grew up in Gresham Park and later became a lifelong Conyers resident. Mrs. Sikes was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Sikes; mother, Jeanette Otwell; father, James D. Otwell, and brother Danny Otwell.

She is survived by her daughter, Stacey and David Mayo of Conyers; son, Scott Sikes, of Texas; three grandchildren, Joshua Mayo and Alexis Mayo of Conyers, and Ryan Sikes, of Oregon; sister-in-law, Helen Otwell of Jonesboro; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Discover Point Church located at 1605 Hwy 138 S.E. Conyers, GA 30013 with Pastor David Collinsworth officiating. A reception will immediately follow the service.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to Homestead Hospice and Heartland Hospice for the wonderful care provided to both Mrs. Sikes and her family.
