Carla Wells departed this life peacefully at her home in Gum Branch on the morning of July 26, 2015, at the young age of 61 after a long illness. Carla Wells was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, on Oct. 3, 1953, and moved to Hinesville in 1986. She worked for Gateway BHS until her illness.
Carla is survived by her life partner, Roger Yarborough; and three children, oldest son, Michael Wells, middle son, Dwain Wells, and youngest daughter, Carrie Adams (Wells). Carla had one great-grandson, Denver Ian Lee Davis; two grandsons, Duane R. Wells and Jonathan Adams; and one granddaughter, Chelsea Davis (Wells); and many friends who she also called her family.
There will be a celebration of her life on Saturday Aug. 1, at the Gum Branch Park on Highway 196 beginning at 4 p.m. You can bring a covered dish or desert for the BBQ celebration. Chaplain Stephen Lee will speak.
Remembrances to the family to help the grandchildren in the future have been requested.
Low Country Cremation Services and Burial is serving the Wells family.
