Carlos Alvarez

Mr. Carlos Alvarez, age 62, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his family and under the care of Community Hospice.  The Mexico native had lived in Texas and Florida for many years before moving to Reidsville in 2014.  He had worked for many years in the orange groves.  Mr. Carlos loved to go fishing and hosting family cookouts.  He was of the Catholic faith.

He is survived by his companion of 39 years, Gregoria Sauceda of Reidsville; children, Cecilia (Billy) Fite and Pauline (Jerry)Atkinson both of Kentucky, Irene (Ildefonso) Ramirez of Reidsville, April(Leo) Martinez of Florida, and Sallie Sauceda of Reidsville; siblings, Javier Alvarez of Florida, Elizabeth Arciga and Marcy Alvarez both of Texas; eleven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00am on Saturday, September 3, 2016 with the Rosary service to follow at 3:00pm from the Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home and Crematory.
