Carol (Hooker) Collins

Carol Collins, age 68, passed away Monday April 18, 2016 at Meadows Regional Medical Center after a short illness.  The Toombs County native lived all of her life around the county.  She was a member of Landmark Baptist Church in Lyons.  Carol’s full time job was being involved in raising and attending to the needs of her family.  Among her many talents, her cooking is what she was most famous for according to her family.   In her free time, Carol loved gardening, reading, fishing, and arts and crafts.   Carol is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Collins; son, Chane Collins; grandchild, Chevy Collins; and sister, Joan Gordon.

Left to mourn her memory are her step-sons, Wayne (Samantha) Collins of Vidalia, Chad Collins of Vidalia, Chance Collins of Vidalia; step-daughter, Chastity (Freddie) Hinson of Vidalia; brothers, Billy (Margaret) Hooker of Lyons, Rex (Mimi) Pruitt of Ft. Worth TX; sisters, Esther (Tom) Moore of Metter, Rea (Charlie Davis) Peach of Oak Ridge TN; 12 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home & Crematory.

Memorial Services are scheduled on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home & Crematory in Reidsville, with Brother Clint Williams officiating.   In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to: Community Hospice Foundation, PO BOX 2277 Vidalia GA 30475.
