Carol Ann Walker

April 23, 1946 — August 21, 2015

Mrs. Carol Ann Walker , age 69, passed away Friday, August 21, 2015 at her daughter Melissa’s home in Liberty County surrounded by her family and under the care of South Georgia Hospice.  The South Carolina native had lived in Glennville most of her life.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Glennville First United Pentecostal Church.  Mrs. Carol loved shopping and watching the cooking shows on the Food Network.  But her favorite pastime was to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Mary Richardson; husbands, James Blocker and Roy Walker, Sr. and a grandson, Justin Lee Walker.

Mrs. Walker is survived by her children, Debbie (John) North of Claxton, Roy Walker, Jr. and Belinda Dukes both of Glennville, Melissa (Lamar) Cook of Hinesville, Ruben (Crissy) Melendez of Atlanta, and Shawn (Ashley) Melendez of Glennville; siblings, Jerry (Darlene) Richardson of Texas. Sandra Brand  and Brenda (Buddy) Edge all  of South Carolina; grandchildren, Alexis (Justin) Blair, Brittany (Heith) Dykes, Ciara Dasher, Angel Walker,  Harley (Lawrence) Bradley, Ryan Dasher, Amber Walker, Ian North, Aidan North, Abbott Melendez, Conner Melendez, Tyler Cook, Kristin Cook, Vicky Bruce, and Ricky Dukes, Jr.; great grandchildren, Bailey Blair, Brody Blair, Wyatt Dykes, Lawton Dykes, Emmett Dykes, Jagger Bruce, London Smith,  and Kinsley Cook; several nieces, and her faithful companion, Mitzi.

The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00pm on Sunday from the funeral home.  Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm Monday, August 24, 2015 from the Chapel of Low Country Cremation Services & Burial with the Reverend Brad Pickren officiating.  Interment will follow in the Glennville Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Butch Blocker, Ryan Dasher, Tyler Cook, Heath Dykes, Mike Arnold, and Jeremy Richardson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to Hospice of South Georgia
