Carolyn Peebles

Nahunta/Reidsville,

Carolyn Peebles , age 57, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017 at her residence.  She was born February 15, 1960 in Lyons to Robert and Donnell Newsome Peebles.  She had lived in Reidsville and Folkston most of her life moving to Nahunta a year ago.  Carolyn was a homemaker and preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Groce Lowther, and a sister, Margaret Ann Peebles.

She is survived by her children, Edward Lowther of Folkston and Melissa McCullough of Claxton; siblings, Mary Hilliard of Summertown, Mary Anne Collins of Reidsville, Betty Harris of Folkston, Patricia Hickox of Brantley County, Wanda Hilliard of Nahunta and Robert Peebles, Jr of Cochran; six grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm Sunday from the funeral home.  Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm Monday, October 9, 2017 from the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial with the Rev. Don Harris officiating.  Interment will follow in the Marvin United Methodist Church Cemetery .

Pallbearers will be David Peebles, Earnest Collins, Jr., Ronald Hilliard, Jr., Jimmy McCullough, David Castro, and Darien Waters.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tina Chandler and Mary Curl.
