Our mother, Carolyn “CC” Swafford, died peacefully on December 10, 2020, in Dublin, Georgia. She was born April 25, 1930, in Reidsville, Georgia, to Johnnie Harold and May Bell Swain; where she had been living since April of this year with her cousin, Jeannette DeLoach. She was married to our father, Edward Cowart in 1949. As an Air Force wife, she lived in Georgia, Florida, California and Japan, then back to California. While in California, she worked at McClellan AFB and was active in bowling and her church. She was divorced in 1965. She bowled professionally for a few years in the 1970s, and moved to Wichita, Kansas, in 1972 to work for a bowling center. She met her 2nd husband, Larry Swafford, in Wichita. They moved to southern California and worked in the bowling business. They moved back to Wichita, where they divorced. She loved to work and had many jobs. She moved to Elko, Nevada, in 2001, to manage the Paradise Lanes. She also worked for the Elko Daily Free Press and SleepSource. She was active in the Senior Olympics, Kiwanis Club, Lions Club and loved all her friends. In 2017 she fell on the ice at her home and had to move in with her daughter and son-in-law, Kaye & Allen Gunn, in Spring Creek. She could not work and loved to watch TV and play games on her cell phone and computer. She also enjoyed yard sales. She moved with Kaye & Allen to Fallon in 2019, then she moved back to Georgia in April. She was preceded in death by her 1 st husband, Edward Cowart in 1973, and a son, Danny Cowart in 2012. She is survived by her son Dean Cowart, daughter Kaye (Allen Gunn), daughter Ronda (Tom Daniels), and son Tim Swafford (Shellie). She has numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition, she is survived by one Aunt, Quessie and a long-time friend, Clara Welch.

We will all miss her.
