Catherine Gay (Fick) Green

Catherine Gay Green, age 69, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2019 at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah after a brief illness.  The Minnesota native moved to Reidsville in April of 2006.  Shortly after arriving she began working with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources at Gordonia Altamaha State Park where she was an office clerk.  Being in the state park, she would meet travelers from around the country and the world.  Never one to meet a stranger, she made fast friends with so many.  In her free time, she loved to travel and explore new places.  No matter where she was though, sunny days were her favorite and she would find ways to while away the sunny hours in her backyard, poolside, or steal away for a day at the beach.  After her retirement in November 2018 she spent her days being loved by and loving back her family, friends, and her “canine sons” Kennedy and Maxwell.    She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Mark Fick.

She leaves behind to share precious memories a son, Matthew William Green, three daughters, Tricia Lynne (Brien) Davis of Vidalia, Tracy Michelle (Ozzie) Barron of Forest Lake MN, and Lesley Elizabeth (Joey) DiBenedetto of Norco CA;  brother, George (Anne) Fick; seven grandchildren, Augustus, Isabella, Dominic, Ashley, Cody, Morgan, and Riley; a nephew and niece, Dale George Fick and Jessi Fick Searby; numerous friends made along life’s journey also survives.

In keeping with Catherine’s wishes, there will be no memorial services.  She wanted everyone to remember the good times and great memories they shared together.
