Cecilia Jean Ashley went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 14, 2018. She was born on December 28, 1954 in Vidalia, GA; Cecilia graduated from Middle Georgia College and Southern Tech - Marietta with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering Technology. After graduation, she faithfully served the Georgia Department of Transportation for 27 years. During that time, she worked in design, traffic operations and public transportation. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Sandersville, where she sang in the choir and enjoyed helping with childrens choir.

She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Robert Ashley; brother, Phil Humphrey of Vidalia, GA; six loving nieces and nephews, Jarrod Humphrey of Memphis, John Ashley, IV, Lauren Plumley, Stephen Ashley, of Savannah, Meagan Haas of West Hartford, and Mandy Blower of Charleston; also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Memorial Services will be held 11:00am, Saturday, January 20, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Sandersville . The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Sandersville Music Ministry.
