Charles Stanley Case

Mr. Charles Stanley Case, age 58, passed away Thursday, March 9 at EGRMC after an extended illness. Mr. Case was born on August 17, 1958, originally from Charleston, SC, resided in Statesboro for the past 29 years. He was a United States Air Force veteran. He retired from both the City of Statesboro and Ogeechee Technical College. He was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter -day Saints, where he faithfully served in his church callings and in the Columbia, South Carolina Temple. He cherished his wife, his children, and his grandchildren. His family was the most important people in his life. He will lovingly be remembered by those who knew him as a man of great faith who loved the Lord and the gospel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert Stanley Case and Dorothy Borchert Case.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years Janice (Brown) Case;  two sons, Christopher Case and Kevin (Anna) Case, all of Statesboro; a daughter, Becky Case of New York City; four granddaughters, Jessica Case, Harlie Case, Madeline Case, and Kayleigh Case; two grandsons, Keegan Case and Richard Case, all of Statesboro;  brother, James (Leah) Case of St Joseph, Mo; t wo sisters, Toni (Shawn) Malone of Powder Springs, GA, and Kathy (Jim) Gardner of Lexington, SC;  step-mother, Thelma Bishop Case of New York;  aunt, Sally (Jay) Gregg of Hanahan, SC.  A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws also survive.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday March 11, 2017 at  4:00pm at the Statesboro Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Fair Road with Bishop Cameron Cowart officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Terry Briley, Robert Lewis, John Cowart, Eric Kartchner, Jimmy Ondriezek, and Joe Briley. The family will meet with friends and loved ones two hours prior to the service from 2:00pm  to 4:00pm.

In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the American Kidney Foundation.
