Charles Wayne Collins Sr., age 67, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2014 at Community Hospice in Vidalia GA after a long battle with Cancer. The Toombs County native lived most of his life in Vidalia. During his working years, he was a heavy equipment operator, and much of his work dots the Toombs County landscape today. In his free time, he was an avid fisherman. However, his favorite past time was spoiling his grandchildren. Mr. Collins is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Edward Collins, and a grand-child, Chevy Collins.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Collins; sons, Wayne (Samantha) Collins of Vidalia, Chad (Shana) Collins of Vidalia, Chance Collins of Vidalia, Chane Collins of Vidalia; daughters Carla Collins of Atlanta, Chastity (Freddie) Hinson of Vidalia; Sister Dean Flett of New Branch; Niece Monica (Carl) Davis of New Branch; Nephew Vince Fleet of New Branch; 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Memorial Services will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, August 9, 2014 from the Reidsville Chapel of Bradley B Anderson Funeral Home and Crematory.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Community Hospice Charity Foundation PO Box 2277, Vidalia, GA. 30475-2277.
