Christopher Waylon “Jr.” Howard-Duran, age 25, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday May 24, 2017. The Lakeland Florida native lived much of his life in Reidsville, moving to Georgia when he was just 10 days old. He would always push back to anyone who thought he was anything other than a “Georgia boy”. Jr was an active person and loved being outdoors. Among his favorite things to do were going to the river and street boxing. He would spar with his brothers, friends, and anyone willing to accept the challenge! Other pass times included attending local soccer games and watching the pros on television. In everything he did, he enjoyed surrounding himself with his family and friends. He was looking forward to welcoming his first born child into the world, a little boy, in approximately 5 weeks; Waylon Robert Howard-Duran. Jr will forever be remembered as a person who loved deeply and although he left this world too soon; he will never be forgotten. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Beulah McGhee.
Left to mourn his memory and carry on his legacy are his mother, Christine Howard; father, J. Santos Duran; brothers, Marty and Jay Duran, all of Reidsville; sister, Toni Williams of Raleigh NC; maternal grand-father, Robert Howard of TN; paternal grand-parents, J. Santos Duran and Maria Guadalupe Almazan of GTO Mexico; an aunt, Juana Ramos; an uncle, Simon Duran; cousins, Ivan Carmona, Alan Carmona, Lorena Duran, and Jennifer Duran; nephews, C.J. and Damien Martinez or Raleigh NC; numerous other relatives and friends also survive.
