Springfield GA,
Sgt. Christopher Allen Korn, II, age 27, passed away on Monday August 15, 2016 at Memorial Health University Medical Center. The New York native lived in Springfield most of his life. In 2008 he left the area to enlist in the US Marine Corp; to serve his country in defense of our freedom. During his service to America in the Marine Corps, he attained multiple medals and citations, including a Purple Heart for injuries sustained in Afghanistan. After his injury, he was unable to continue in service to the Corps and was Honorably Discharged in 2013. Upon returning home, he found great comfort in drawing and sketching. Ultimately he learned the art of tattooing, where his talents could be brought to life.
Left to mourn Christopher’s memory are his mother, Hope (Joey) Weiss of Springfield GA; father, Christopher (Lauren) Korn of Oviedo FL; brother, Michael Korn of Florida; maternal grandmother, Sandra (Roger) Beckman of Clyo GA; paternal grandmother, Dorothy Britton of Orange City FL; special uncles, David (Tina) Watford of Springfield and Kris Beckman of Annapolis, MD; special aunt, Michelle (Tim) Hudson of Springfield, and many battle buddies.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, August 19, 2016 at the chapel of Low Country Cremation Services and Burial from 1:00pm to 2:40pm.
Funeral services will be held immediately following the visitation at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville GA with full military honors.
