Glennville,
Clarissa Jolie “CJ” Vejnar, age 19, passed away Saturday, June 5, 2021 in Glennville from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born on August 23, 2001 in York, Maine and had lived in Glennville most of her life. She was a 2020 graduate of Pinewood Christian Academy and had recently graduated from Ogeechee Technical College with a degree in Cosmetology. She apprenticed with High Maintenance Salon in Glennville. CJ was devoted to her family and loved to spend time with them. Most especially though, shopping with her momma was a favorite pastime. Her big heart was not only reserved for her family; she held a love for all of God’s creation. As such, she would rescue various animals in distress and either nurse them to health herself or help to place them in loving homes. Above all else however, she loved her Lord and Savior. She was an active and faithful member of Glennville United Methodist Church. She served in multiple ways at the church, but was known for her testimony thru music. She would sing solos in church and even submitted her own videos on the Church’s YouTube channel. A songbird of God; CJ now sings His praises in Heaven. She is preceded in death by her “daddy” Sgt John W. Mele.
She is survived by her “Momma” Jennie and “Daddy” Jarad Huffman of Glennville; father and stepmother, Mark and Meredith Vejnar of Greenville, SC; boyfriend, Ben Dutton of Glennville; maternal grandparents, Lloyd and Corene Jones of Richmond Hill, GA; paternal grandparents, Mark and Sharon Vejnar of Virginia; step sister, Liberty Huffman of Jesup; half siblings, Addison, August, Ellis, Amelia, and Ethan; Auntie Lyn Allebach of Jacksonville Beach, FL; aunt, Diana Sterling and her family of Atlanta; uncle Jon Jones of Savannah; cousins, Kendall and Brenden Allebach; multiple other family and special friends that Clarissa Jolie held close to her heart.
