Connie (Knight) Bowen

Glennville, GA

Connie Knight Bowen, age 54, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Candler Hospital in Savannah, Georgia.  She was born in Savannah on June 1, 1967 to Billy and Linda Ray Knight and lived in Glennville all of her life.  She was a 1985 graduate of Glennville Christian Academy and attended Brewton Parker College.  Connie shared her musical talent for many years as a piano teacher to many in the area, a member of “New Life Singers” gospel group and Calvary Baptist Church pianist for over 30 years.  She also worked as a caregiver and always considered her patients family.  Connie will be remembered most as a loving wife, mother, “grammy” and a daughter always putting her family first.  She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Otis and Elizabeth Knight and Elisha and Mollie Ray.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Timmy Bowen of Glennville; daughter, Abigail Bowen of Glennville; son, Colton Bowen (Lanna Todd) of Claxton; parents, Billy and Linda Ray Knight of Glennville; sister, Carole (Keith) Beasley of Collins; brother, Chris Knight of Boone, North Carolina.  A granddaughter, Raelah Bowen of Glennville, niece, Hannah (Dakota) Tillman of Claxton, nephews, Joshua Beasley of Collins and Stephen DeLoach of Nashville, Tennessee; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00pm on Monday, December 13, 2021 at the funeral home.  Funeral services will be conducted 11:00am on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 from the Chapel of the Glennville Funeral Home with the Reverends Bryan Anderson and Jerry Knight officiating.  Interment will follow in the Glennville Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Alan Knight, Joshua Beasley, Stephen DeLoach, Eric Durrence, Michael Lamb, and Dan Rogers.
