Connie (Strickland) Mincey

Connie Strickland Mincey,  age 78, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at her residence under the care of Affinis Hospice.  The Tattnall County native had lived in Reidsville most of her life. She worked for many years at the School Buss Driver’s Association and retired from the Tattnall County Probate Court.  She was a member of the Red Hat Foxy Ladies.  She was also a member of the Reidsville Baptist Church and the Faith Sunday School Class.  Mrs. Mincey is preceded in death by her parents, Carroll “Sarge” and Opal Strickland.

She is survived by her husband of 40yrs, Johnie Mincey; sons, Wendy Phillips and Randy Phillips; step children, Jay Mincey, Hunter (Tonya) Mincey, and Carol Mincey all of Reidsville ; grandchildren, Jasper (Andrea) Phillips, Jesse (Lindsey) Phillips, Jessica (Randall ) Kirkland, Sheldon (Courtney) Phillips, Dalton Phillips, Presley Phillips, Sam Mincey, Tina (Ronnie ) Waters , Jase Mincey, Renee Mincey, Tara Mincey, and Brad Anderson; numerous great grandchildren also survive.

Visitation will begin at 6:00pm on Wednesday from the Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home & Crematory.   Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm Thursday, August 7, 2014 from the Reidsville Baptist Church with the Reverend Steve Miller officiating.  Interment will follow in the Reidsville City Cemetery.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the Red Hat Foxy Ladies.
