Cynthia Janice (Knick) Ashford

Mrs. Cynthia Janice Ashford, age 67, passed away Sunday, August 19, 2018 at the Serenity Place in Dublin surrounded by her loving family.  She was born October 4, 1950 in Ashville, NC to Earl Lyndon and Sara Ruth Knick.  She had lived in Savannah and Colorado before settling in Evans County in 1988.  In 2015 she moved to Lyons.  She was a homemaker that loved to crochet.  She attended New Beginning Church of God in Lyons and is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arthur “Art” Ashford; son, Joseph Ashford; sister, Lynda Lee Rewis; brother, Daniel Knick; and a son in law, Dwayne Friend

She is survived by her children, Shirley Friend of Lyons; son, Lenny Lyndon Ashford of Morgan, GA; brother, Glenn (Susan) Knick of Candler, NC; grandchildren, Joseph Ashford and Clay Douglas Ashford;3 sisters in law; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00am Wednesday, August 22, 2018 from the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial with the Reverend Mike Smith officiating.  Interment will follow in the Anderson Church Cemetery near Collins.  The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00am on Wednesday at the funeral home.
