Cynthia Cook

Brunswick

Cynthia Bolden Cook, 70, passed away peacefully at her home in Brunswick, GA
on June 1, 2014 surrounded by some of her family.  She was born to the late
Maggie Parker and Clarence Bolden in Norfolk, Va. where she was raised and
attended Booker T. Washington High School. It was at BTW that she met and
fell in love with Charles Cook whom she married and had 8 children.  She was a
loving, doting, wife, mother and grandmother.  She also received many awards
and certificates for her efforts in spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout
the world.  She worked alongside many pastors and ministers, volunteering her
time in several ministries, recreational organizations and low income housing
communities, and loved to minister to young people and was a woman of great
faith. Mrs. Cook became suddenly ill in 2010 and shortly after moved to Brunswick,
GA where she loved to attend social gatherings at the multipurpose center
for seniors and she worshipped at the Church of Jesus Christ and Latter Day Saints.
She was predeced in death by her husband, Charles Albert Cook II; mother Maggie
Taylor Parker; father, Clarence Bolden; brother, George King; sons, Derek and Malcolm
(Mesha) Cook; daughter, Charlette Cook Savoy.

Mrs. Cook leaves to cherish her memory son, Charles Albert Cook, III (Concertina);
daughters, Michelle Cook of Norfolk, VA., Essence Queen, AKA Monica Cook, Doris Cook of
Brunswick, GA., Titania Cook Owens (Charles); brother, James Leroy Bolden of Chesapeake, VA;
sister-in-law, Velma Cook of Norfolk, VA;  3 nieces, 4 nephews, 23 grandchildren, 21 great- grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

Mrs. Cook's final contribution to society was to donate her body to science so that she
could leave a legacy that would help someone else to live.

A memorial service is planned on September 6, 2014 at the church she had
been attending, followed by a Celebration of Life party on SSI, GA.
