Reidsville
Cynthia Marie Germano fell asleep peacefully on December 14, 2022 at home surrounded by her family who loved her dearly.
Cynthia was born June 12, 1960 in Washington D.C. to Walter and Poleva Mosley. She was raised in Reidsville, GA with her three siblings: older brother Kevens, and younger sisters Beverly and Gwendolyn. After graduating, she moved to Asheville, NC. She later moved to Poughkeepsie, NY where she met the love of her life, Philip. They were married September 3,1987. He was right by her side until the very end. The two shared many amazing times together including the birth of their three daughters, Jay’Anna, Shanyce, and Carlissa.
Cynthia was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1972 and had been faithfully serving in the full-time ministry as a pioneer for 41 years. Those who knew her, knew her love for the ministry and people. It brought her the greatest joy imaginable. She devoted her life to making sure others knew about her wonderful heavenly Father Jehovah. It’s her faith in him and his promise of the new world to come that allowed her to rest easy.
Full of life. Kind-hearted. Fun. Giving. Strong. Amazing wife. Loving Mother. One-of-a-kind grandmother. That was Cynthia. “Gamma”, as she was affectionately known by her grandkids, went above and beyond. They were her heart, and she made sure they knew it every single day. She will be missed by all.
Cynthia is preceded in death by her daughter, Shanyce Germano. She is survived by her devoted husband of 35 years, Philip Germano; her parents, Walter and Poleva Mosley; her two daughters, Jay’Anna Germano and Carlissa Parrish; one son-in-law, Trey Parrish; one brother, Kevens Mosley (Angela); two sisters, Beverly Seay (Charlie), Gwendolyn Gray; four grandchildren, Cambrece, Chezarina, Addisyn and Kohen; 3 sister-in-laws, Susan Jones (Rudy), Karen Evans (Tony), and Mary Erlenmeyer (Mark); a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
