Mrs. Daisy D. Gibson, age 86, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at her residence under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice and her granddaughter, Melissa Conner and Melissa’s children. The Douglas, GA native had lived in Savannah many years moving to Claxton thirty five years ago. She retired from Claxton Poultry and loved to fish, crochet, and picking up pecans. Mrs. Daisy attended the Grace & Truth Church and is preceded in death by her husband, Morgan Gibson.

She is survived by her children, Frances (Richard) Bowen of Odum, Austin Landon of Jesup, Shirley (Velmer) Brannen of Jesup, Gloria Doyle(Guerry Greenwood) of Bloomingdale, Richard Hargett of Rome; brother, Tom Troup of Garfield, twelve grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, one great great grandson. The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00pm Wednesday from the funeral home.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Thursday, December 3, 2015 from the chapel of Low Country Cremation Services and Burial with the Rev. Claude Bowen officiating. Interment will follow in the Brewton Cemetery in Hagan.

Pallbearers will be Damon Gravley, Adam Brannen, Mark Bowen, Lee Bowen, Zach Conner, William Gordon, and Dillon Conner.

Low Country Cremation Services and Burial is serving the Gibson family.
